If you ever have your identity stolen, figuring out how to handle it is the first step you need to take, and that’s often a big step. You will first want to make sure you report the crime. Report it to your local police, to your financial institution and to the FBI. These groups can work together to try and shut down further criminal activity. Once you report the crime you will need to establish a recovery plan.
